Toronto Raptors swingman DeMar DeRozan was one of the most affected players upon the departure of Terrence Ross to the Orlando Magic in a trade deadline deal for Serge Ibaka prior to the trade deadline.

Having had weeks to let it marinate, the Compton native has seen the silver lining in the situation as the two teams faced off on Monday.

DeRozan gave them a tax-free return of his own, pouring in 36 points in a 131-112 Toronto win. The Raptors have peaked at the best time, riding a six-game win streak to Wednesday's game against the Charlotte Hornets.

Ross was brilliant in his own right, tallying 17 points on 8-of-14 from the floor and nabbing four steals in his 29 minutes of play. The athletic three-and-D small forward has found a niche in Orlando's starting lineup and is slowly finding the consistency that escaped him during his four-season stint with the Raptors.
