LeBron James is arguably the most famous NBA player in this generation. Not only does he have a huge fan base in his home state of Ohio, but also across the country and the world.

Whenever his team goes on the road, it is expected that arenas will be sold out as they want to see the Cavaliers‘ star forward in action. That was exactly the case when the team was scheduled to play against the Memphis Grizzlies on Wednesday night.

The only problem was, head coach Tyronn Lue and his staff decided to give James the night off together with his fellow All-Star teammates, Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love. Fans were left disappointed, especially those who spent a lot of money securing tickets for the game – including one who was seen holding a sign and letting everyone know how much he spent just to see his favorite player.

Even if Lue already apologized to the fans in Memphis, it still left them upset and with no choice but to watch the likes of James Jones and DeAndre Liggins play instead of the Cavs' stars.

If there's any consolation for Memphis fans, the Grizzlies won their seventh in their last eight games, 95-83, and snapped the Cavaliers' five-game winning streak.
