Just as the Boston Celtics crawled back from 14 down in the fourth quarter to get within two points of the Chicago Bulls, hometown hero Dwyane Wade had the last say hitting the most important shot of the season-opener.

After a miscue at the offensive end, the ball found Wade's hands in the right corner, where he quickly drove left and stepped back — freezing Avery Bradley in the process as he raised up for a jumper, following his shot as it rattled in and giving the Bulls a five-point lead.

The 12-time All-Star immediately put his hand by his throat and signaled to the crowd in a knife-slashing motion, letting his hometown know it was game over.

D-Wade is still a player to watch out for – his leadership and shot-making ability are able to put some of the best defenders on ice, as evidenced by young Bradley here.

Sub-Zero not only surprised by making 4-of-6 threes in the game, but also by coming up huge in the next possession, blocking Gerald Green‘s three-point attempt off his leg and giving the Bulls the ball back.
