The Miami Heat will have plenty to take care of this offseason, as four of their starting five will be testing the free agency market. With so many players keeping their options open, it will be difficult for Pat Riley to keep the whole team together. One person not concerned about getting his contract is veteran shooting guard and 3-time NBA champion Dwyane Wade.

“I think I've been around long enough not to expect anything going into the summer,” Wade told The Miami Herald's Manny Navarro.

Along with Dwyane Wade, Hassan Whiteside, Luol Deng, and Joe Johnson will all be heading into free agency to see their options. With the salary set to increase to over $90 million, they’re likely to find a few teams willing to pay them what they want.

“That's always a thing going into the summer – it's always the unknown of what a team is going to be when you don't have a lot of guys under contract, when your whole team is not under contract,” Wade said.

At 34 years old, Wade’s next contract will likely be his last major multi-year deal. It’s hard to imagine the Heat not finding a way to keep their long-time superstar guard. But with so many players leaving and $40 million in cap space, it will be hard to keep everyone while paying them what they’re asking. Especially if they hope to hold on to their rising star in Whiteside.

“One thing I do know is that in the 13 years I've been here – and the years after I leave – the Miami Heat will always try to put a winning team on the court. I think it's always safe to say that,” Wade added.

If the Heat hope to stay competitive, Wade and Whiteside may have to take a pay cut if they want to stay together.
