When the Chicago Bulls signed Dwyane Wade and Rajon Rondo last summer, they had high hopes that having them together with Jimmy Butler can form a three-headed monster that can become one of the best triumvirates in the league.

However, since the second-half benching of Rondo in their game against the Brooklyn Nets on December 28, the former All-Star has not seen even a minute of court action.

The unfortunate development on the 30-year-old point guard's playing time has drawn mixed reactions from members of the NBA community, but Wade has praised him for handling the situation professionally while also making it known that he is disappointed over the situation, especially because his teammates do not understand the coaching staff's decision.

“You don't expect him to be jolly that he's not playing the game that he loves, but when it comes to his teammates, he's been great. He's been staying in it, keeps talking to guys. He's been here every day. It's a tough situation.”

“He's a good player in this league and has had some big games for us, It can be uncomfortable at times, especially when your teammates don't know what's going on and it's not their job to know what's going on. He's been very professional about it. But it still sucks.”

With a lot of talk about Rondo possibly being moved by the team and rumors surfacing that he can be given playing time again in the future, his situation and his team's will definitely be worth monitoring as it will significantly influence the direction of the Bulls this season.
