We finally found out yesterday that there was indeed a secret meaning behind Russell Westbrook's July 4 Instagram post following Kevin Durant's decision to join the Golden State Warriors.

The Thunder point guard was essentially calling KD out as soft for the move, according to reporting by Sports Illustrated's Lee Jenkins.

The cupcakes referenced something former teammate Kendrick Perkins used to say in jest when talking about “soft” players. Basically, Russ called KD soft for the move.

The story spread like wild fire and everyone jumped all over Westbrook's hidden message.

That included teammate Enes Kanter, who provided this tweet last night clearly referencing the story.

Kanter's run of dominating Twitter this summer simply continues.

Kanter has developed a good relationship with Westbrook since joining the Thunder. OKC hopes that keeps building as this season it will be more important than ever for Westbrook's supporting cast to step up.

It will be interesting to see just what that supporting cast is capable of with Durant out of the way. KD is one of the best scorers ever and obviously needed the ball a lot. There will be more opportunities than ever for role players this year in OKC.

Kanter will be a big part of that plan. The Thunder hope to count on him while they know they can count on him to continue being extremely entertaining on social media.
