Sigewinne, the Fortress of Meropide's head nurse, has been officially revealed as a playable character in Genshin Impact! Check out the drip marketing for Sigewinne and the official reveal posted on HoYoverse accounts.

“Wondrous Dragonheir” Sigewinne Reveal

Sigewinne was first mentioned in dialogue in Version 4.0 along with the addition of Fontaine, but she made her first appearance as an NPC in Genshin Impact Version 4.1. She is the head nurse of the Fortress of Meropide, and when the Traveler and Paimon are brought there by their adventures, we learn more about Sigewinne.

As revealed by the Sigewinne drip marketing, she is a Hydro character. Her Constellation is “Nereides,” meaning “Nereids,” the sea nymphs of Greek mythology. Her Arkhe alignment is Ousia, but no details of her kit have surfaced as of yet. She's theorized to be a 5-star character, albeit not confirmed by any official sources.

Genshin Impact Version 4.7 will introduce three new characters: Sigewinne, Clorinde, and Sethos. Out of all three of them, only Sethos is the true “new character,” bringing us back to Sumeru. Both Sigewinne and Clorinde played their part int he Fontaine Archon Quest, and both characters had the playerbase waiting for them to become playable characters.

Sigewinne will be playable in Genshin Impact Version 4.7, scheduled for June 5, 2024.

Who are the Sigewinne Voice Actors?

Sigewinne's VA for the English voiceover is Sarah Williams. Her previous roles include Cagliostro from Granblue Fantasy, Chihaya Mifune from Persona 5, Jinx from League of Legends, and Jack Frost from Soul Hackers 2 and Shin Megami Tensei V.

Sigewinne is voiced by Hina Kino in the Japanese voiceover. She voiced Griseo from Honkai Impact 3rd, Emu Otori from Project Sekai: Colorful Stage feat. Hatsune Miku, and hanako Honda from Asobi Asobase.

The infirmary is the warmest place in the Fortress of Meropide, where the sun fails to shine.

Rumor has it that the head nurse, who manages said infirmary, is also its founder. The Fortress has changed hands in chaotic circumstances several times over the centuries, but there has always been a tacit agreement amongst all who live here not to harm the medical staff in any way.

The reason for this is simple — few doctors could endure treating criminals and staying in such a place for long.

Fewer still would be as clement, cute, conscientious, and considerate as Sigewinne.

There was once an inmate whose life Sigewinne saved after he had been gravely injured while causing trouble, who then proclaimed her to be an emissary of the heavens — an “angel of salvation” — sent to bring redemption to criminals, even saying that he would preach this far and wide on her behalf.

“That's a bit much, isn't it?” The head nurse shook her head, her horns bobbing along.

“I won't ask what you did wrong before saving you, but you'll still have to finish serving your sentence once you've healed up,” she said, hands on hips. “Flattery's not getting you anywhere!”
