The Utah Jazz will be short three starters on Tuesday against the Portland Trail Blazers, with Rodney Hood and Derrick Favors sidelined with knee injuries, while point guards George Hill and Raul Neto nurse groin injuries, according to ESPN's Tim MacMahon.

The timing couldn't be worse for the Jazz as they try to hold on for dear life to that fourth spot in the West, with a minimal lead of half a game over the L.A. Clippers.

Utah will try to hold off a hungry Portland team that has gone 8-2 in their last 10 games, also desperately trying to clinch the last remaining spot in the West, with a game-and-a-half advantage over the Denver Nuggets.

Dante Exum will likely get the start for George and divvy up the minutes with Shelvin Mack, who will play the anchor role and could end up seeing the majority of the minutes if his shooting touch is on point tonight.

The Blazers have issues of their own, with the absence of spark plug center Jusuf Nurkic, who is out for the next two weeks, at which point he'll undergo further evaluation. Meyers Leonard and Noah Vonleh will split minutes at center for the time being, as the team will heavily rely on the dynamic duo of Damian Lillard and C.J. McCollum to do most of the team's damage Tuesday night.
