The annual front office survey is upon us with the start of the regular season only a week away and general managers around the league responded to 48 different questions about the best teams, players, coaches, fans, offseason moves, amongst other topics.

They were not allowed to vote for their own team or personnel. Percentages are based on the pool of respondents to that particular question, rather than all 30 GMs.

San Antonio Spurs small forward Kawhi Leonard was voted the best defender in the league — a result much to be expected after his back-to-back Defensive Player of the Year awards as he tallied two thirds of the vote.

Leonard was an absolute stud last season and a model of consistency, averaging 21.2 points, 6.8 rebounds, 2.6 assists, and 1.8 steals per game while shooting an efficient 50.6 percent from the floor, 44.3 percent from deep, and an uncanny 87.4 percent from the free-throw line.

His wingspan and athletic ability along with his basketball IQ and discipline have made him one of the most formidable defenders in this league. If he is to capture yet another DPOY award this year, he'd join Dwight Howard as the only two players to have won three consecutive honors.

LeBron James came in second place with 10 percent of the vote, while there was a three-way tie for third place among Draymond Green, DeAndre Jordan, and Avery Bradley who all came up with 6.7 percent.
