Boston Celtics guard Isaiah Thomas attended legend Allen Iverson‘s gala proudly because he's a big fan, and he gets a lot of inspiration from the Hall of Famer's career as well.

Both players are little guys among giants in the NBA, and both have had success despite their height disadvantage.

Thomas grew up idolizing shorter NBA players so, naturally, he felt honored that Iverson invited him to his gala.

Not only does Iverson appreciate Thomas' game, but he had some words for him personally when the two met.

Thomas spoke with The Boston Globe's Adam Himmelsbach about their conversation.
