Despite the tragic news of his younger sister's death, Celtics All-Star Isaiah Thomas has amazingly been competing and playing at a high level in the first-round of the NBA playoffs. Throughout this difficult time, Thomas has received a widespread amount of support from his teammates, coaches, fans and other NBA players.

Wanting to properly acknowledge the support, Thomas released a statement that thanked everyone who has reached out and also shed some light on what he is dealing with.

Thomas flew to Tacoma, Washington on Wednesday to be with his family. He is expected to play in Game 3 between the Celtics and Bulls in Chicago on Friday.
