Charles Oakley isn't the only person to have a recent run-in with New York Knicks owner James Dolan. Aside from the fact that the Knicks won't qualify for the post-season, Dolan admittedly hasn't completely stopped with the shenanigans around Madison Square Garden.

Dolan spoke with Dave McKenna of Deadspin about getting into a shouting match with a fan. Surely there has to be a really good and justifiable reason for an NBA owner to engage his own customer base in such a manner right? Dolan's reasoning was simple, but not sound.

“I did call (the fan) an asshole. Because he is an asshole.”

The 35-year-old Queens native, Mike Hamersky is a Knicks season ticket holder who asked Dolan to sell the team prior to Tuesday's game against the Chicago Bulls. That was a trigger for Dolan to issue some choice words for Hamersky.

“What if I showed up at your office and called you an asshole? Because you are an asshole!”

In some weird way, Dolan uses the same explanation for lashing back at whoever confronts him by insinuating they are drunk.

“He had an open bottle of beer and smelled of alcohol, and I told him he wasn't going in.”

It's the exact same thing he accused Oakley of during the infamous Garden incident. Hamersky's side of the story didn't include any alcohol but he did say Knicks security followed him around to ensure he would not try to enter the Garden. He later came back with friends and found his way to his seat without being confronted.

It's not as if Dolan needs any more negative press, but this season has been a huge disappointment for the Knicks from top to bottom.
