James Worthy has finally gotten the chance to respond to Kevin Durant's story this season about Worthy's recruitment of Durant to the Lakers.
KD told the story on Bill Simmons' podcast, claiming that Worthy did some “shady sh—” while trying to convince him to choose the Lakers last summer.
Here's Worthy's response, via TMZ:
Worthy is clearly not backing down and has some harsh words for Durant, mentioning that KD's words could damage his career and saying that what he said was just not true.
Durant has been extra chill and open on his two appearances on Simmons' podcast, offering insight fans wouldn't normally get from an NBA player. This story was one of those and didn't seem that serious at the time, but Worthy was clearly offended by it.
It will be interesting to see if we get another response from Durant regarding Worthy.
