There has been much talk surrounding veteran big man Jared Sullinger over the last few days, concerning him pushing to sign another contract with an NBA team.

However, it appears that the 25-year-old has temporarily put that on hold as he looks to have settled on the choice of playing in China over an offer from the Brooklyn Nets, according to Anthony Puccio of Nets Daily.

Sullinger had signed a one-year, $6 million deal with the Toronto Raptors last summer but played in just 11 games with the team where he averaged 3.4 points and 2.5 rebounds in 10.7 minutes per contest. Keep in mind, he had missed the first 41 games of the season due to a screw being inserted into the fifth metatarsal in his left foot.

He was able to make his return to the court in mid-January but was moved prior to the trade deadline in February along with cash consideration and the Raptors' second round picks in this year's draft and next year to the Phoenix Suns for P.J. Tucker. The Suns then elected to waive him just a few days later.

It has been an uphill battle for Sullinger since then, struggling with his weight while making his way back from an injury. He recently had a strong showing at The Basketball Tournament over this past weekend that may have peaked the interest from the Nets.

Sullinger will likely attempt to use the Chinese Basketball Association as a springboard to get him back in the NBA as their season ends prior to the start of the NBA playoffs.
