In what was the biggest game of his career, John Wall did not back down from the challenge and faced it head on.

With time running out and the Boston Celtics leading by two points, the Washington Wizards All-Star point guard took it upon himself to extend his team's season and force a Game 7 in their Eastern Conference Semifinals series.

Wall knocked down a cold-blooded three-pointer with 3.5 seconds left that proved to be the game-winner, and completed their victory on the night, 92-91.

After a very slow start to the game, where he only scored three points in the first half, the 26-year-old Kentucky product exploded with 26 in the final 24 minutes of action. He has proven once again that he is an elite player who is not afraid to take the shot with the game on the line.

His head coach, Scott Brooks, only had good words to say about his franchise player. He called him a winner, via Jeff Zillgitt of USA Today Sports, and gave him a lot of credit for refusing to lose on the night.

“Not many guys can do that. He’s a winner. He plays to win. He’s not worried about his stats. He’s worried about winning.”

The D.C. faithful are hoping he can once again rise to the occasion in Game 7, where the stakes are even higher and the Wizards will not have home court advantage.
