The heated rivalry between the Washington Wizards and Boston Celtics came to a head after a second hard pick from Boston center Kelly Olynyk popped Washington's Kelly Oubre in the opening minutes of the second quarter, inciting the ire of the young forward.

Oubre retaliated quickly after, shoving Olynyk to the ground and being consequently ejected after referee James Capers reviewed the incident from the start.

The Wizards jumped out to a 37-17 lead in the first quarter, which prompted an added level of physicality from the Celtics, first starting with a scrum between reserves Ian Mahinmi and Jonas Jerebko that earned them double technical fouls.

Oubre's ejection could draw a game's suspension because of a Flagrant 2 foul and because of the unsportsmanlike nature of the incident.

A heated atmosphere between the two teams seems to have rubbed off onto the bench, which should only turn this series into a much more tooth-gnawing affair.
