When Terrence Ross drilled a long three-pointer to beat the buzzer in regulation on Sunday against the Sacramento Kings, many believed the game has been sent to overtime, including the person responsible for the Toronto Raptors‘ Twitter account.

However, the game ended in bizarre fashion as the referees had to review the last play and saw DeMarcus Cousins hit the ball with his fingertips first before reaching Ross. The clock was supposed to start as soon as someone touches the ball and the 6-foot-11 center indeed got a piece of it. The review took a few minutes to finish before the referees waived the three-pointer as it would not have made it on time when the clock started right after Cousins' touch.

The Raptors' Twitter account had already announced that the game was going to overtime as soon as Ross made the three-pointer, but as it turned out, the game was over and the Kings won the game. The Kings' Twitter account demanded that the previous tweet be deleted and replied to the Raptors' post.

It will be very interesting how the two teams will play against each other when they meet later on in the season. With the looks of it, the intense match will not only be on the court but also on social media as both teams' Twitter accounts are expected to go at it during their next game.
