The Los Angeles Lakers have had a long and storied history in the NBA. With 17 NBA championships, tied for the most all time with the Boston Celtics, it's no surprise that Los Angeles has had several of the greatest players to ever step onto a basketball court. It makes it pretty difficult to even attempt to rank them, which is what former Sacramento Kings guard Jason Williams thought about doing during a recent appearance on the Player's Choice show. Williams had a shocking take on former Lakers legend Kobe Bryant while talking about the franchise's greatest players.

Former Kings guard Jason Williams said that he wouldn't have Kobe Bryant ranked inside the top-five Lakers of all time. That's an easy way to rile up Lakers Nation!

The Lakers have had players such as Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Wilt Chamberlain, Magic Johnson, Jerry West and Shaquille O'Neal. However, Bryant, who won five championships, an MVP award and holds various franchise records, is regarded as perhaps the greatest Laker ever, by some of the greatest Lakers ever!

One can't fault Williams for having players such as Abdul-Jabbar, who is in the GOAT conversation, and Magic Johnson, who is perhaps the greatest point guard ever, ahead of Bryant.

However, to not even have Bryant in the top-five is definitely a stretch by the former Kings star. It's a take that Lakers fans likely won't soon forget.
