Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James returned to the Drew League in style over the weekend, dropping 40 points and grabbing 16 rebounds. It was the first time he played pro-am since 2011 and needless to say, the fans got a show.

The player who guarded LeBron in the Drew League, Dion Wright, has spoken out on Twitter after getting hated on for letting The King go off:

Dion Wright is just grateful for the chance to even guard LeBron James in the first place. Truly a dream come true, regardless of the number of points James put up. To be fair, just about anyone who would be torched by him. We are talking about The King, after all.

Wright is an ex-college player himself at St. Bonaventure University therefore he does have some experience. He did his best to contain LeBron but that's practically impossible, especially when you're not even an NBA player.

DeMar DeRozan also joined LeBron James in the Drew League as they put on a show together. Kyrie Irving was supposed to play, but he no-showed in order to do a camp with Lakers assistant Phil Handy. Everyone wanted to see Kyrie and Bron play together as the trade rumors continue to swirl.

Let's be honest, though. Being able to tell your kids that you guarded LeBron James is a story in itself. That's something Wright will always cherish, regardless of the outcome.
