The San Antonio Spurs were out of Game 2 early on the get go, trailing by 28 points in the first half, prior to their 36-point defeat by the end of the night.

The result didn't stop LaMarcus Aldridge from trying to avenge his fallen teammate Kawhi Leonard, who went down and out in Game 1 after suffering back-to-back left ankle injuries — the latter as a result of an illegal closeout by Golden State Warriors center Zaza Pachulia.

The 6-foot-11 power forward clearly kept taking steps toward Kevin Durant while he was airborne during a three-point attempt, deed which many questioned as a revenge tactic to even out the stakes.

While this is hardly anything Gregg Popovich would teach, as he tends to run a tight ship in San Antonio, it wouldn't be the first time a player has tried to take matters into his own hands (or ankles) to try and restore order.

As fate would have it, Pachulia suffered a self-inflicted injury of his own, playing only seven minutes in Game 2 before being taken out for the rest of the game.

As the basketball gods once said — an eye for an eye and an ankle for an ankle.
