In the world of professional sports, the latest thing to happen is often the best or most incredible or whatever superlative there is to use — Larry Nance Jr. is here to set all those over-reactions straight.

The internet exploded after Malcolm Brogdon viciously dunked over LeBron James during Tuesday night's game, even going as far as saying it was the best dunk of the year.

The Los Angeles Lakers forward disagreed by using one of Kanye West‘s most famous lines.

The man has a point — even less than a week ago, Nance had a skull-crushing dunk over Brook Lopez — one easily comparable to Blake Griffin‘s dunks over Timothy Mozgov and Kendrick Perkins (both won dunk of the year) and probably just as impressive (if not more) than DeAndre Jordan‘s alley-oop dunk over a clueless Brandon Knight.

Nance has a dunking pedigree, as his father, Larry Nance Sr., was the first to ever win a slam dunk crown in the inauguration of the All-Star weekend event in 1984.

Standing at 6-foot-9, the 23-year-old Nance skied over the 7-foot Lopez for a dunk that makes the hairs in the back of people's necks stand up.

A dunk over a proven shot-blocker gets my vote all day, what do you think? Tell us in the comments.
