Manu Ginobili has been a key asset to the San Antonio Spurs scheme since he made his NBA debut in 2002. After 14 years and 4 NBA titles, Ginobili announced that he would make a return next season, despite injury complications that sidelined him throughout the latter half of the Spurs franchise best 67-15 season.

But ever since The Big Fundamental decided to conclude his NBA campaign, Ginobili may be feeling a little more reluctant about his return. He may be 38 and nearing the end of his career anyway, but talent like Kawhi Leonard and LaMarcus Aldridge will still be around to make a deep playoff run. Maybe he's just ready to let newer talent take the franchise in a new direction, as he has reportedly come to a verbal agreement for a 1 year deal worth about $10 million.

At least the Spurs organization is paying their long time shooting guard a decent and flexible wage. He must have had a hard time sitting out such a successful season, so the chance to have one more year to see just what might happen is good for the old Argentine.

The western conference is surely stacked with competition, but Ginobili has enough experience under his belt to take on any challenge in the NBA. Hopefully he will have a good potential final year.
