Alleged victim Erik Hood, filed a civil lawsuit against the Morris twins, Marcus and Markieff Morris back in 2015 due to being assaulted by them after a youth basketball game in Phoenix.
Hood claims the former Suns players held him down, kicked, punched and chased him along with three of their associates. He is suing for conspiracy, battery and assault and is said to be seeking damages for an undisclosed amount.
The case has been slowed due to the prosecution and defense both requesting extra time to review evidence, which includes cellphone photos, chats and texts.
Markieff Morris was traded to the Washington Wizards in February 2015. Marcus Morris was traded to the Detroit Pistons in July 2015 where he currently plays.
The next court proceedings will continue on November 4th.
The twins have pleaded not guilty to two charges of felony aggravated assault against their former acquaintance.
