Since playing briefly for the Cleveland Cavaliers last season, Larry Sanders has remained a free agent and not a lot has been heard about him. Although he is active with his social media accounts, there's not been much talk about his potential to return to playing in the NBA again.

However, on Monday, the 29-year-old VCU product made some noise when he tweeted about the possibility of having another contract soon.

Before his latest social media activity, there were no rumors about Sanders being eyed by an NBA team, or even getting invited to a workout to showcase his skill set and current conditioning. It can also be considered his way of bringing some attention to him and making it known to teams around the league that he is still interested in continuing his professional career, and is open to signing a contract anytime.

Sanders was the 15th overall pick in the 2010 draft by the Milwaukee Bucks. He spent five seasons with them, establishing himself as one of the better shot blockers in the league at one point. He surprised many when he decided to walk away from the NBA due to personal reasons just when he had secured a hefty payday from Milwaukee.

The 6-foot-11 big man then had a short and uneventful stint with the Cavs last season, appearing for them in five games. They eventually parted ways with him, signing Andrew Bogut instead. It remains to be seen if his tweet will lead to anything, but for now, it's anyone's guess if there's indeed a contract coming soon for Sanders.
