The NBA has elected to fine Orlando Magic players Admiral Schofield and Robin Lopez along with Charlotte Hornets center Montrezl Harrell for their involvement in the late-game altercation between both teams during Thursday’s contest.

Schofield was issued a $20,000 fine, while both Lopez and Harrell were handed out $15,000 fines for the notable altercation.

None of the three players fined were initially involved in the incident itself, as it all began when R.J. Hampton took exception to a post-whistle push from Jalen McDaniels. They each had to be separated, but chaos would then follow between the two teams, which included Schofield and Harrell getting involved in a scuffle.

Officials in the game opted to hand out technical fouls to Harrell, Lopez and Schofield. More so, the trio wound up being ejected, although this decision did not go on to impact the result of the game, as the Hornets cruised to a 27-point win over the Magic.

Harrell later took to Twitter to provide his reaction to the incident, where he noted that he does not tolerate any “cheap shot” toward his teammates “while they back turnt.”

The Magic and Hornets will not meet again this season. Orlando will finish regular season play with a home contest against the Miami Heat on Sunday, while Charlotte will have its final tune-up before the NBA play-in tournament with a home clash against the Washington Wizards.
