A restraining order was issued against former NBA player Sebastian Telfair after a wild rampage at the home of his estranged wife and kids, according to a report from TMZ Sports. The former point guard was ordered to stay at least 100 yards away from his wife and kids.

It all started when Telfair showed up at his wife Samantha's home, where he began cursing and kicking at the door when he learned that she was not there. The couple's two kids went out of the house and they tried to stop their father's rampage but to no avail.

Samantha got home and she was able to get into the house safely. But she claimed that Telfair was aggressive and he even tried to bash her car's windshield.

She also said that she was worried about Telfair's overall mental health because he was becoming increasingly “hostile, unstable, and violent.”

This was not the only issue surrounding Telfair. Last June, he was busted by Brooklyn PD while in possession of firearms. Aside from the three pistols and a semi-automatic rifle, the police confiscated a large number of bullets, a bullet-proof vest, and an unspecified amount of marijuana.

Telfair played in the NBA from 2004-2013. He suited up for the Portland Trailblazers, Boston Celtics, Minnesota Timberwolves, L.A. Clippers, Cleveland Cavaliers, Phoenix Suns, and Toronto Raptors. After that, he had a short stint in the professional basketball scene in China.

His basketball story is one of the more tragic of its kind. From being a celebrated high school star, Sebastian Telfair wasn't able to handle the non-basketball challenges of life in the NBA, thus falling into irrelevance.
