Why The Hornets Could Cover The Spread
The Charlotte Hornets have had a rollercoaster of a season. Through 76 games they have managed to secure a winning record of 39-37. They are coming off a four-point loss to the Denver Nuggets. Charlotte will look to turn things around against a worse opponent on Wednesday. The Knicks have been good lately, so this will not be an easy win for Charlotte. If they want to come out on top they will need to step things up from their previous match.
One of the biggest things going Charlotte's way is their lack of injuries. Currently, the Hornets only have one player listed on their injury report. Gordon Hayward, who has been unavailable most of the season, is still listed as out. Besides Hayward, the Hornets are healthy and ready to rally. Expect Charlotte to come into this game hungry for a win.
Why The Knicks Could Cover The Spread
While the Knicks may have struggled this season, they have been gaining momentum in their most recent matchups. New York has a record of 34-42, but has managed to win four-straight games. Their most recent win came over the Chicago Bulls by five. RJ Barrett led the team in scoring, but everyone contributed. This Knicks team is really showing glimpses and looks like they have a bright future ahead of them. New York seriously impressed in that match-up and will look to mimic that performance on Wednesday.
However, in spite of their recent successes, injuries remain a concern in New York. The Knicks are far from full health, with five players listed on their injury report. This is nothing new for the Knicks who have been dealing with injuries all season long. New York has managed to battle through this adversity and will continue to do so on Wednesday.
