Despite seeing their franchise player, James Harden, struggle on the night, the Houston Rockets were still able to win Game 4 of their first round series against the Oklahoma City Thunder to take a commanding 3-1 lead.

An unexpected hero emerged for them as he played a career game on Sunday. Nenê finished with 28 points and 10 rebounds., but not only did he top-score for his team and notched a double-double, the 34-year-old Brazilian also tied the playoff record for most field goals in a game without a missing a shot.

Throughout the match, the 6-foot-11 big man made timely baskets for his team and more than made up for Harden's lack of offensive production — who only scored 16 points, on 5-of-16 shooting, with seven rebounds, eight assists, and one steal.

More importantly for Nenê, his strong performance allowed the Rockets to send a message to the rest of the competition that they can win playoff games even with their All-Star guard having a sub-par game.

The Houston faithful are hoping that he can build on the momentum he had in the game, and that he can play more consistently this postseason. Should he be successful in doing so, Nenê will give his team a huge boost as he could be the inside presence they need, to compliment the multitude of shooters they have in the lineup.
