The Philadelphia 76ers finally received an update about the recovery of their big man, Nerlens Noel. News surfaced recently that the 6-foot-11 Kentucky product will be able to make his debut with the team anytime soon.

Before his comeback, Noel met with his head coach, Brett Brown, to discuss what his role with the team is now with Joel Embiid part of the lineup and the addition of Ben Simmons to their fold. The 55-year-old bench tactician admitted it was a great conversation but he has still not prepared the roadmap for all of his players just yet, per Keith Pompey of the Philly Inquirer.

“I'm not able right now to lay out the perfect road map to everybody, but it was a great conversation. It was good to see him as we always do with our players and me with Nerlens. I've been with him a long time. It's very clear and candid what his role and what's going to happen. How are we going to try to make it work.”

Noel has been included in a lot of trade chatter for months now as the Sixers have created a logjam in their frontcourt. Despite all the rumors, he has still remained with the team and is now ready to prove that he is not the odd-man out in their big man rotation.

The former sixth overall pick of the 2013 draft has been impressive so far prior to his injury. He owns solid career averages of 10.5 points, 8.1 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 1.8 steals, and 1.8 blocks in 30.1 minutes per game.

If he comes back and shows glimpses of his full potential, it will make the 76ers' top brass think twice of who to let go in their crowded big man rotation. Most importantly, Noel's stock will continue to rise and he'll set himself to become one of the better big defensive men in the league for years to come.
