Nike has just added another basketball player to their growing list of athletes.

He may not be the biggest name out there but Denver Nuggets rookie Malik Beasley joins the likes of LeBron James, Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving, just to name a few, as endorsers of one of the biggest shoe and apparel brands. It was announced by his father, Michael, through his Twitter account:

After spending a year with Florida State, Beasley averaged 15.6 points, 5.3 rebounds and 1.5 assists in 29.8 minutes per game. His season was capped off by being named a member of the ACC's All-Freshman team. But even with his numbers, his draft stock fell off as he suffered a leg injury.

Now that he is healthy and ready to prove his worth in the NBA, the Atlanta-native is looking to compete for his minutes in a crowded Nuggets backcourt that features Emmanuel Mudiay, Jamal Murray, Jameer Nelson and Will Barton.

Signing with the sponsorship deal may not be able to make him get more minutes but with Nike behind him now, it will surely help raise him and his team's advertising value.
