Nikola Jokic has been one of the players that has vastly improved this season. Only in his second year in the league, the Denver Nuggets center is already proving that he can be a superstar in the future with his impressive all-around game. On Wednesday night, he got to showcase his talents against the defending champions and go one-on-one vs. LeBron James.

In the third quarter, the 22-year-old Serbian international received the ball in the low post and found himself being guarded by the Cleveland Cavaliers star. Instead of getting intimidated, he quickly backed him down, made a few fakes and scored over him.

Jokic was asked after the game to give his thoughts about the play and he immediately downplayed it by saying it was just an ordinary play. However, he did not lack any confidence when he mentioned that it was a mismatch for them to have James defend him, and that's why they took advantage of it.

It's not often that someone can say they have an advantage when they challenge the former four-time MVP's defense, but Jokic definitely supported his claim by scoring against him and even making it look easy. With his skill set and the trust his coaches have in him, it can be expected that he will continue to receive a lot of playing time and become the focal point of the Nuggets' offense.

Jokic was one of seven players from his team to finish score in double figures on the night and helped beat the Cavs, 130-113. The win strengthened their hold on the eighth seed in the West as it gave them a two-game lead over the Portland Trail Blazers.
