It was a monstrous first half for the Indiana Pacers as they lit up Madison Square Garden against the New York Knicks in Game 7 as they lead by 15 points at half-time. Another word for the amazing shooting night from Indiana on the road? Historic is most likely the best as it was the best shooting performance in the last 25 years.

According to Tim Botemps of ESPN, “The main reason Indiana is leading by 15 at half? The Pacers had the best shooting half in a playoff game in the last 25 years, per @ESPNStatsInfo, shooting 76 percent to surpass the Spurs in the first half of Game 3 of the 2014 NBA Finals against the Heat.”

Fan reactions to crazy shooting first half from Pacers

The Pacers shot 76 percent from the field in the first half which is insane considering the situation both teams are in as Tyrese Haliburton led the first 24 minutes with 16 points while teammate Pascal Siakam had 15. Fans are going ballistic on social media like on the platform X (formerly known as Twitter) where one user like “@bubbagumpino” posted a vid of a basketball arcade machine where no one is missing saying that it is Haliburton and Siakam.

While it was an incredible performance from the Pacers, there are still fans not celebrating too much as one user named “@KatalistBeats” said “Far from over, gotta keep up that hustle and effort boys. GO PACERS!!!”

There's no doubt that it was a legendary first half performance from the Pacers and while they are leading by double-digits against the Knicks, they still should not oversee their opponents. New York led by stars such as Jalen Brunson could explode at any moment so the goal would be to contain them as they look to make the Eastern Conference finals as it would be their first time since the 2013-14 season.
