After the Miami Heat lost in double overtime against the Orlando Magic on Tuesday night, Hassan Whiteside made his frustrations known as he vented out during the post-game interview about the lack of touches he got during the two five-minute extensions.

The 27-year-old Marshall product questioned his role of being the team's franchise player by only getting three attempts when the game was on the line and also described the loss as a heartbreaker.

With many expecting head coach Erik Spoelstra to give his take on his starting center's rant, it was team president Pat Riley who gave a statement about it.

The heat will return to action on Thursday night after a one-day rest when they host the Los Angeles Lakers at the American Airlines Arena. It will be interesting to see how Whiteside will respond following the veteran front office executive's comments. The South Beach faithful are hoping he will take it positively and that he will play at his best to help the Heat end the three-game losing streak they're currently on.
