As the face of the Minnesota Timberwolves, there's no doubt that Anthony Edwards is one of the top rising stars in the NBA today. Many basketball fans will also agree that the two-time All-Star is a walking human highlight reel, thanks to his ability to just dunk on nearly everybody.

In fact, there have been a handful of victims that Edwards placed on the poster. But aside from poster dunks, Edward surely loves to punish the rims in more ways than one. Let's rank Anthony Edwards' 10 most powerful dunks.

10. Anthony Edwards' alley-oop to himself

Any regular player would've been checked by the defense of the Memphis Grizzlies' Xavier Tillman. But despite being forced to pick up his dribble, Edwards made something out of nothing by pulling off a self alley-oop play. The All-Star guard capped off the night with 28 points, five rebounds, and five assists in the 118-103 victory.

9. Doug McDermott gets out of Anthony Edwards' way

When Ant-Man finds an open lane, every opposing team player must brace themselves and clear the path. The Pacers' Doug McDermott pretty much got the idea but found out a tad too late. Although Edwards had a rough night in the loss with eight points on 3-of-15 shooting, the dunk was a clear silver lining in the 134-128 loss.

8. Anthony Edwards unfazed by Blazers' defense

While Edwards loves finding an open lane, he also doesn't seem to mind dunking over anyone that's in his way. Just ask Robert Covington, who was in the wrong place at the wrong time. Despite Covington being a few inches taller, Edwards just soared over him for a powerful dunk.

7. Anthony Edwards' putback with authority

Although Edwards doesn't necessarily have the height to dominate the offensive glass, the Timberwolves star does know how to clean up a mess in dominant fashion. In a game against the San Antonio Spurs, Edwards climbed up in โ€œescalator styleโ€ to just dunk on the Spurs for the impressive putback off a Jaden McDaniels missed 3-pointer.

6. Anthony Edwards going baseline

Early in the 2023-24 season, the Timberwolves got a convincing victory over the Golden State Warriors, 116-110. The Wolves were led by Edwards, who erupted for 33 points and seven assists.

However, it's safe to say that the highlight of the night was Edwards dunking over the Warriors after the defense allowed him to get loose at the baseline. Unfortunately for Dario Saric, the Croatian big man suffered the most damage from the dunk.

5. Anthony Edwards goes upstairs

The Pistons were cellar dwellers in the 2023-24 season despite the lucrative hiring of coach Monty Williams. Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards didn't mind adding more salt to their wounds after just about dunking on the Pistons with one hand after finding an open lane.

It's safe to say Jalen Duren won't be forgetting about that one so easily. Edwards scored 27 points to go along with five rebounds and eight assists.

4. Alperen Sengun left helpless by Anthony Edwards

There's no doubt that Alperen Sengun is one of the Houston Rockets' breakout stars, especially before his injury. However, that didn't matter when Edwards came face to face with him in the paint. After driving past the top of the key, Edwards met a 7-foot Sengun in the air. Unfortunately for the Rockets center, the two-time All-Star brought the hammer to finish with authority.

3. Anthony Edwards dunking over Yuta Watanabe

Arguably the dunk that cemented Edwards' high-flying prowess, the two-time All-Star showed no mercy against Japanese big man Yuta Watanabe. Watanabe is often known for his defensive tenacity and shot-blocking.

Unfortunately for him, Edwards managed to drive the baseline and completed the play with a jump over Watanabe's outstretched arms to pull off an explosive dunk over him. The dunk easily went viral, and Ant-Man cemented his place as one of the best dunkers of the game.

2. Anthony Edwards has โ€˜signature slam' against Suns

Edwards put on a show in a first-round sweep of the Phoenix Suns in the 2024 NBA Playoffs. He averaged 31.0 points, 8.0 rebounds and 6.3 assists. In the final minutes of Game 4, Edwards threw down a thunderous dunk over the Suns' Kevin Durant in what TNT announcer Ian Eagle excitedly called, โ€œa signature slam!โ€

1. Anthony Edwards puts John Collins on a poster

At 6-foot-9 and 226 pounds, many basketball fans will agree that John Collins isn't a small player. Moreover, his defense is quite solid against his counterparts.

However, in transition, Edwards just didn't mind Collins one bit. The Timberwolves star decided to cut through the open lane and dunked it over a standing Collins with no regard for human life. The thunderous dunk is easily in the running for dunk of the year.
