Having spent his last two seasons in the NBA with the Miami Heat, Ray Allen had the chance to form a strong bond with his former teammates, including Dwyane Wade. Now that the Chicago Bulls shooting guard has another big decision to make in this summer's free agency, Allen has some advice for him on how to handle it.

The league's all-time leader in three-point field goals made talked about going after what will make Wade happy. He also added, via Anthony Chiang of the Palm Beach Post, that even if the pay will factor in his decision, he should go where he thinks he can be a good fit so he'll be in an ideal situation through an entire season.

“One thing I can always say about being a free agent in any situation, you always got to go to your happiness.”

“At the end of the day, whatever that dollar figure is, it does have an impact on your decision. But I think at the end of the day, you have to choose where it is you’re going to be happy and where you think you’ll fit the most because 82 games is a long time to be in some place where you may not be happy or you may not feel like you fit.”

After signing with his hometown team last year, Wade has not had a lot of success in his first season with them. The drama and distractions within the team also did not help make his year memorable with the Bulls. There have been rumors that he might re-sign with the Heat and reunite with the team that drafted him, but he will need to take a serious pay cut and sacrifice playing time if he wishes to return to South Beach.

Wade's situation is definitely worth keeping an eye on and with Allen's advice, he might want to consider it and make sure he will be happy in the remaining seasons he'll play in the league.
