With the NBA regular season officially over, the Los Angeles Lakers now move beyond the Kobe era and set their focus on the draft on May 23.

The Lakers have a 55.8 percent chance at obtaining a top 3 protected pick in the 2016 draft, which is expected to have a few future All-Stars in the mix of prospects. However, according to Lakers' reporter Mike Trudell, the Lakers may trade the pick.

While there are expected to be some talented players left on the board by the third pick, the general consensus is that the vast majority of the talent belongs to the projected top 2 picks Ben Simmons and Brandon Ingram.

They still have a 19.9 percent chance to land the number one overall pick, but, if they don't get a top 2 pick, they could also potentially trade up to land Simmons or Ingram. If they decide to trade the pick away, expect them to target some big name players to try and replace Kobe.
