It looks like Darren Collison is the latest point guard to be targeted by the New York Knicks.

According to Ian Begley of ESPN, the Knicks have interest in trading for the Sacramento Kings guard. Collison is due to earn $5.2 million next season and it remains unclear if New York has enough trade assets to make the deal happen.

The Knicks are currently on the lookout for a starting point guard as it was previously reported that New York was interested in making a trade for the Atlanta HawksJeff Teague at the trade deadline. Jose Calderon was the team's starting point guard last season and has one year left on his contract.

It isn't certain how Collison will fit in Phil Jackson's triangle offense, but the 28-year-old point guard can certainly put the ball in the basket. The 6-foot Collison averaged 14.0 points on 48.6 percent from the field during the 2015-16 season.

At this stage of the Knicks' offseason, expect many point guard names to be tossed around as possible trade targets of the franchise.
