When news broke last summer that Kevin Durant has decided to bring his talents to the Golden State Warriors, fans got really excited about the prospect of Russell Westbrook dominating the box score of the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Although there was some pre-season talk that The Brodie would be able to successfully average a triple-double throughout the season, most were just half-serious. Westbrook has proven doubters wrong by incredibly averaging a triple-double at this point in the season with 31.2 points, 10.5 rebounds, and 10.4 assists per game.

The six-time All-Star was at it again on Wednesday night in Oklahoma City's lopsided 122-97 victory against the Philadelphia 76ers as he managed to secure his 35th triple-double of the season.

What makes this one extra special though is the fact that the 28-year-old is the first player in history to put up a triple-double without missing a single shot. Westbrook was no less than perfect on Wednesday by shooting 6-of-6 from the floor and also 6-of-6 from the charity stripe.

Not even the great Oscar Robertson, who holds the record for most regular season triple-doubles with 181, could achieve this amazing feat.

When told about his astonishing accomplishment Westbrook was genuinely amazed and delighted. He could not help but have a huge smile on his face.

With the win, the Thunder tightened their grip on the sixth seed in the Western Conference and established a one-game advantage against the seventh-placed Memphis Grizzlies. These two teams are slated to face each other for the fourth and final time this season on April 5, in what will be a crucial contest for two teams battling for positioning in the playoffs picture.
