Oklahoma City Thunder point guard Russell Westbrook has tied all-time great Oscar Robertson for the most triple-doubles in a season, notching his 41st of the year on Tuesday against the Milwaukee Bucks. The All-Star guard pulled down a Khris Middleton mid-range miss and raced upcourt, slipping a dime to Taj Gibson and totaling a 12-10-10 line at the 9:18 mark of the third quarter.

The Chesapeake Energy Arena crowd gave their MVP candidate a loud ovation after a break in play, acknowledging his season-long outstanding effort and a historic feat that puts his name up there with the best to ever play the game.

This was Westbrook's seventh straight triple-double, tying the best streak of his career and tying legendary center Wilt Chamberlain for fourth place on the all-time triple-double list with 78.

Chamberlain holds the record for the most consecutive triple-doubles with nine, a feat which Westbrook has a good chance to reach before the end of this week against the Memphis Grizzlies on Wednesday and the Phoenix Suns on Friday.
