The fireworks didn't stop on Friday night, as Russell Westbrook tallied his seventh straight triple-double with a 27-point, 10-rebound, 10-assist performance. Despite his efforts, the Oklahoma City Thunder fell to the Houston Rockets 102-99.

The UCLA product grabbed his 10th rebound with 7:46 left in the fourth quarter, once he had already collected 16 points and 10 assists. The feat ties him with Hall of Famers Michael Jordan and Oscar Robertson for the second-longest streak of all-time.

The loss, however, snaps a season-high six straight win streak for the Thunder, who had won every game since Westbrook's torrid run got started against the Denver Nuggets, back on Nov. 25.

This was his 12th triple-double of the season and the 49th of his career. He is the NBA's active leader in the stat-stuffing category and ranks overall.

Westbrook struggled shooting the ball, as he was a poor 8-of-25 from the field, including a lackluster 0-of-7 from deep, as he collected most of his extra points at the line, where he was an efficient 11-of-12.

The 6-foot-3 point guard sparked a rally in the last six minutes of the game, but ultimately came up short taking two well-contested jumpers against defensive ace Patrick Beverley.

Russell Westbrook will look to own the undisputed second-longest triple-double streak of all-time on Sunday against the Boston Celtics. His overall line sits at 31 points, 10.9 rebounds, and 11.3 assists per game through 22 games this season.
