Philadelphia 76ers guard Jerryd Bayless has been around the block. The 29-year-old has played for seven different teams in his 10 NBA seasons. However, he says that in all his time in the league, he has never played for a crowd quite like the one in Philly’s Wells Fargo Center.

Some of Bayless’ former teams, which include the Portland Trail Blazers, the Toronto Raptors, and the Boston Celtics, may take some issue with Bayless’ sentiment. However, that shouldn’t take away from the fact the Philly fans have been doing a great job of cheering their team on.

Those fans suffered through some horrendous seasons and have waited an agonizingly long time for “The Process” to come to fruition. It’s slowly starting to appear that their talented young team, led by Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons, is living up to the substantial hype, and the home crowd is understandably excited.

The Philly fans also had to wait awhile to see their team’s first home win of the season. The Sixers finally picked it up with a 119-109 victory over the Atlanta Hawks, with Bayless contributing 14 points off the bench.

If Simmons and Embiid continue the excellent play they’ve shown to start the season, it could potentially be the first of many more wins for the Sixers in front of their own fans this season.
