Andre Iguodala was more than his usual X-factor-self, but a wow factor after pouring in 20 points in the Golden State Warriors‘ Sunday night 106-94 win over the Memphis Grizzlies.

After scoring only 15 points combined in his last two games, Iggy was a much-needed spark plug off the bench against a very physical Grizzlies defense that entered the game without center Marc Gasol.

Iguodala was 7-of-8 from the floor, 2-of-2 from beyond the arc and 4-of-5 from the stripe, to go with seven rebounds, four assists, two steals and a block on Zach Randolph to cap a gemstone of a night for the 2015 Finals MVP.

When asked when the veteran swingman has this good of a well-rounded effort, point guard Stephen Curry had an unforeseen response.

“It's usually after he plays golf,” Curry told Tim Kawakami of the San Jose Mercury News.

Iguodala and Curry have been known to be the biggest golf fans in the team and even the NBA, often going to pro-am events and playing during their time off and even more so in the offseason.

Known as a cerebral, slower paced game — golf is often a relaxing alternative to many pro athletes that don't pursue it as a career, which would make complete sense of his reinvigorated performance.

The Warriors will need to set up Curry and Iguodala in many golf adventures, as they face likely the toughest stretch of the season, playing against Houston and San Antonio on the road, before coming home to play Houston once again and close the week out against Washington on Sunday. This four-game week has Golden State facing two of the top three seeds in the West, along with the third-seeded Wizards — making it a grueling challenge, especially with the absence of Kevin Durant as he undergoes recovery.
