On the field, Steve Smith is all business. He's the most notorious trash talker in the NFL, and at age 37, he can still back it up.

But off the field? Apparently, Smith is a goof ball.

For a reason that wasn't immediately clear, Smith wore a Yoda onesie to his press conference on Wednesday. We can only hope that it will start a trend.

Eventually, a reporter asked him about the hilarious wardrobe. His response, from SB Nation's Blake Schuster:

“At the holiday helper event, they had it. It’s been a few decades since I’ve worn a onesie,” Smith said. “I tried it on and I bought it, and I thought ‘I’ve got to use it.’ I try not to waste money.”

You can see Smith's best Yoda rendition here:

Ravens head coach John Harbaugh was amused by the outfit, but he would've preferred one addition. From NFL reporter Jason La Canfora:

John Harbaugh notes he would have preferred the Yoda onesie if it was complete with “footies,” hard to argue that. Steve was wearing slippers.

Social media had some fun with it as well:
