Chicago Bulls legend Michael Jordan is undoubtedly the best player the North Carolina Tar Heels ever produced. Naturally, a lot of fans expect to see him on Monday night when UNC take on the Kansas Jayhawks for the NCAA Tournament title game. If he does make an appearance, though, Hubert Davis doesn't want him to be just a spectator.

When asked about the possibility of His Airness gracing the championship bout, the Tar Heels head coach said he wants him to play instead, per Brendan Marks of The Athletic.

Seeing Michael Jordan in the game would certainly be epic. Besides, this 2022 marks the 40th anniversary of Jordan's 1982 NCAA Tournament title squad. What better way to celebrate it than see his collegiate team take home the trophy again, right?

It's not hard to see where Hubert Davis is coming from, though. The Tar Heels need every help they can get as they face the top-seeded Kansas Jayhawks in the final game of the season. They have proven that seedings are just mere numbers when they upset the Duke Blue Devils on Saturday, but they know very well that things don't get easier after that.

Even if he can no longer play, Jordan's appearance could surely give his former team a boost as they try to win it all.
