Atlanta Hawks forward Thabo Sefolosha is finally settling his two-year lawsuit against the five New York City police officers, as reported by TMZ.

The lawsuit accused the officers of false arrest, excessive force, malicious prosecution and false imprisonment. It was filed shortly after his arrest outside of a New York nightclub, where he was charged with obstructing justice, disorderly conduct, and resisting arrest, but was later exonerated.

During that time Sefolosha suffered a broken right fibula and ligament damage, which also ended his NBA season.

Two years later, Sefolosha's suit has reached a settlement for an undisclosed amount and the case was formally dismissed due to the settlement agreement.

There was also some accusations of the arrest being racially motivated, but Sefolosha didn't speak much on the details of the case in compliance with his attorney's advice.

Sefolosha's former teammate Pero Antic who was also arrested in the incident is currently proceeding through a separate lawsuit of his own.
