After news broke out that New York Knicks point guard Derrick Rose was nowhere to be found and would not play in his team's game against the New Orleans Pelicans on Monday night, many came up with their own conclusions on why he went missing.
Despite updates surfacing that he is attending to a family situation, it did not stop fans from making their thoughts known about the former MVP's situation. Some wanted to have a few laughs about it on Twitter:

For some fans though, the situation was seen as serious and not one to be turned into a joke.

Once thought to be the league's biggest superstar for years to come after his MVP season in 2011, Rose has not been able to continue playing at the highest level as he has suffered multiple injuries the past few years. When he was traded to the Knicks last summer, it gave him a chance to prove to his doubters that he could still be an effective player and help bring back lost glory to the storied franchise.
With more updates expected to emerge about his situation soon, New York faithful are hoping it's nothing serious and that he can re-join the Knicks in time for their next game on Wednesday as they go on the road to face the Philadelphia 76ers.
