The Boston Celtics had three first round picks in Thursday night’s NBA Draft, but some Boston sports fans ended the draft with an overall sense of disappointment after watching their team makes some unexpected decisions regarding their draft choices.

The Celtics may have reached a bit with the third overall pick when they took Jaylen Brown. For their 15th and 23rd picks, the Celtics went overseas, selecting Guerschon Yabusele from France and Croatian center Ante Zizic.

As evidenced by this video, some fans did not agree with the Celtics’ draft strategy:

Of course, fans often have no idea what they’re talking about, and most of these fans have probably never heard of many of the players coming into the NBA from other countries. Last year, everyone criticized the Knicks for drafting Kristaps Porzingis, who Kevin Durant has now referred to as “a unicorn.”

Maybe we should all hold our judgment of these guys until we actually get a chance to see them play.
