Devin Booker was in full flamethrower mode against the Boston Celtics, pouring in a career-high 70 points and becoming the youngest player to ever reach the mark, in a night many at the TD Garden will describe a simply unforgettable.

The sharp-shooting phenom broke the Phoenix Suns record for most points in a game, surpassing Tom Chambers‘ 60 points back in 1990.

Booker became the first player to reach the 70-point mark since Kobe Bryant had his 81-point game in 2006, marking only the 11th time in NBA history where a player has reached the 70-point milestone and the sixth player to ever reach it.

The second-year shooting guard out of Kentucky torched the opposition in every fashion imaginable, going 21-of-40 from the floor, 4-of-11 from deep, and an All-Star-like 24-of-26 from the stripe.

It's hard to believe this kid is only 20 years old, and has somehow managed to break through the NBA ranks, from a sixth man in college to becoming a bona fide starter in the league in only his second year as a pro.

It was a regular day in the office for Booker, until he caught fire in the third quarter, where he scored 23 points, unleashing a scoring assault on the helpless Celtics defense.

If his 20-plus point scoring average didn't do so already, this jaw-dropping performance definitely proves coach Earl Watson‘s hunch for naming him the starter at the beginning of the season.

Booker rounded out his stellar performance with eight rebounds, six assists, three steals, and a block throughout his 45 minutes on the floor in the Suns 10-point loss to the Celtics.
