Vince Carter is continuing to defy Father Time. After showing that he can still pull off a reverse dunk despite already being 40-years-old, he even raised the ante recently.

During his team's morning shootaround on Wednesday, the 2000 Slam Dunk Champion knocked down a half-court shot before casually throwing down a between-the-legs slam.

Carter has also made history this season by being the oldest player to score at least 24 points since Michael Jordan and also became just the fifth player in NBA history with at least 2000 three-pointers made.

However, after seeing him show his hops at an advanced age, many are still wondering if he made the right decision to skip the dunk contest during All-Star Weekend last month, as he can still compete with the young high-flyers in the league today. Although it can be argued that it will be difficult for him to win the event, one thing that's certain is he will definitely give them a run for their money.

Now in his 19th season, Carter is not showing any signs of slowing down anytime soon. He even started for his team the past couple of games and is averaging decent numbers of 7.9 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 1.8 assists in 24.0 minutes per game. What the numbers don't reflect, though, is the leadership he brings to the Memphis Grizzlies, who are looking to make a deep run in the playoffs, and even try to win it all before he hangs his sneakers for good.
