Golden State Warriors star Steph Curry is on the brink of history, sitting just nine makes behind Ray Allen for first place on the all-time 3-point list. The most impressive part is that Steph has drained 2,964 in just 787 games. Allen needed 1,300 games to get to the 2,973 mark.

If you're asking Steph's dad though, Dell Curry, he frankly had no idea his son would turn into this type of superstar for the Warriors, unlike LaVar Ball who always had the belief his boys would be stars. Via NBA.com:

“In Chicago the other day I saw LaVar Ball at the game wearing a hat that said: I Told You So,” said Dell, mentioning the bombastic father of LaMelo and Lonzo.

“Well, my hat would say: I Had No Idea.”

To be honest, there's no way anyone could've predicted a skinny kid out of Davidson would be the centerpiece of the Warriors franchise and the best shooter the game has ever seen.

The NBA has become a more shooter-heavy league strictly because of what Curry is doing. Teams are chucking up threes at a higher rate than ever. The Warriors guard needs just 10 three-pointers to put himself at the top of the list and coincidentally enough, he'll be facing his brother Seth and the Philadelphia 76ers on Saturday night.
